WHAT WE ARE DOING TO HELP FLATTEN THE CURVE OF COVID-19

Capital Cabs drivers are taking extra precautionary measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Whenever our drivers are waiting for passengers, they are always wiping down their seats, dashes, door handles, debit machines and any other places that people might have touched to sterilize our taxis. We are assuring you, our customers, that our drivers are doing this between trips. The best way to keep the germs down is to have your driver open/close doors for you, this is part of the service we do already, this helps with less touching of the taxis most common areas. Safety, above all, is our concern for everyone. We have changed our in-cabin filters to a special charcoal filter, it traps the germs that are within the vehicle to help protect you and our drivers.

Just to let you know that City of Regina in conjunction with the Regina Airport Authority have passed a new taxi by-law at the City council meeting on July 29, 2020 that a $2.00 surcharge will go into effect starting August 1, 2020 for both pick-ups and drop-offs on Regina Airport Authority properties. This surcharge will be applied to your charges as the drivers have to collect it, we get it from them and then have to pay it out to the Regina Airport Authority.

This is not a fee that is kept by either the drivers or the taxi brokerage...it is just collected by us and then sent to the Airport Authority.

If you just take a regular taxi either to or from the Regina Airport and it is metered within the City…the City has built it into our meters as a secondary rate on the drop (starting fee)…no other changes to the meter rates for time/distance have been made for trips within the meter radius in and around the City.
