Just to let you know that City of Regina in conjunction with the Regina Airport Authority have passed a new taxi by-law at the City council meeting on July 29, 2020 that a $2.00 surcharge will go into effect starting August 1, 2020 for both pick-ups and drop-offs on Regina Airport Authority properties. This surcharge will be applied to your charges as the drivers have to collect it, we get it from them and then have to pay it out to the Regina Airport Authority.
This is not a fee that is kept by either the drivers or the taxi brokerage...it is just collected by us and then sent to the Airport Authority.
If you just take a regular taxi either to or from the Regina Airport and it is metered within the City…the City has built it into our meters as a secondary rate on the drop (starting fee)…no other changes to the meter rates for time/distance have been made for trips within the meter radius in and around the City.
FOR OUR AIRPORT<>HOTEL FLAT RATES....THE RATE STAYS THE SAME PLUS YOU WILL HAVE TO ADD IN THE AIRPORT FEE OF $2.00 OVER AND ABOVE THE FLAT RATE.

Most people think that if your in a taxi and going faster that it will cost less...NOT SO...taxi meters run on both time and distance...so the further you go, the more it will cost...example - going from the east end of the City to the Airport...it will be approximately $25.00 going through the City...if you take the Ring Road it will cost on average about $10-15 more...this is due to the distance of looping around the City...the meters will only start into time mode if you are stopped for any length of time...AND the only time difference is about 2 minutes.
